I don't have it yet but I am getting close to have enough ISK to buy the monocle.
My point is if a player has the will they can get enough money to get the cool shiny stuff. A lot of you just want the bells and whistles handed to you for no charge. Welcome to LIFE my friends!
If you work hard and are dedicated you can get the cool stuff in this expansion. So how about you stop crying on the forums and actually go make some money. That money could be real life money or in game money (ISK). Either one will get you the means to get the monocle as well as the other stuff on the Noble market.
What CCP has done is given you options to how you want to enjoy the game. Yet you still criticize them. They have been leading the way in MMORPG games for years now with player controlled economy and market. One server. Infinite political landscape. The list goes on.

I'll be using a combination of real life money for two P.L.E.X. and in game money (ISK) to buy the the rest to have enough Aurum. Options you see, it's all about the options.
Hatters are gonna hate of course, but no one is forcing you to buy any of it. Don't like it? Don't buy it. It is that simple. Your game is the same. If I decide that I want to buy a monocle or Quafe T-shirt because I'm not poor like you, then that is my business.
Other games are doing it and doing well. You old dinosaurs just want your little game to stay off the radar so you can feel like a big fish in a small pond. Time to evolve or find out the hard truth that people like me, are simply...

Considering the code for the P.L.E.X. will be paid for by my dad tomorrow for my birthday it is hardly coming from my personal wallet. So in the end, I'm only paying for it with a bit of ISK. But please, keep raging but do it elsewhere. This thread is about CCP creating several options to acquire stuff in the game.
When was the last time you went to a car dealership and they had just the one car model with only the ONE package on it? Didn't think so. They offer power windows or the hand crank ones depending on your budget. I can afford the power windows. Your a hand crank user. Deal with it or work harder at life.

Wait, your saving up to buy the Monocle and your going to blow all your isk on it?
Wait... your going to spend all your isk on a purely cosmetic item?
Okay.
I can afford one if i REALLY wanted to get one to grow my e-peen but i do not feel the need to do so, i would rather buy spaceships in a spaceship game :)
Of course i doubt your post is serious, but i have seen weirder things happen 
Your spaceship can die, a monocle is forever.

Funny update:
I was expecting a GTC code to turn into P.L.E.X. for my birthday. Dad thought he would be funny, so... I received a Barnes and Noble gift card. Parents are the best trolls. Looks like its going to be a bit longer for my monicle.
